Iris Engineering was founded by engineers from the oil and gas energy sector with a shared passion for leaving the world a better place.

Since our founding in 2019 we have rapidly grown our capabilities and have provided bankable renewable energy solutions for well-known ASX listed companies and international companies. With our strategic partners we have the capability to provide professional management and engineering services for all project stages, all project sizes, in any country.

Our Mission

Reduce pollution and revolutionise the global power supply by delivering inexpensive, reliable, and clean hydrogen projects to every corner of the planet.

Our Vision

Create a better future by providing green hydrogen energy across the globe.

Timeline

Iris Engineering truly began on April 9th, 2019, when Alan Finkel rolled out the Hydrogen Roadmap for Australia at the Energy Club in Darwin the Northern Territory.  He deeply inspired us and created pathways for cleaner energy we could understand and champion.

We began the very next morning at 0630 hours starting with designs for methanation and liquefaction. After many attempts in this fledging industry, it was clear a different approach was necessary.  Re-visiting the Roadmap we took another approach: RAPS.

Iris Engineering began designing and developing Remote Area Power Systems (RAPS) in early October of 2020. Our first feasibility study was delivered to the NT Government in March of 2020.  It addressed the upcoming power shortage on the Gove peninsula and provided the community an opportunity to develop a hydrogen export industry to replace the departing mining industry.

Since that time we continue to develop our company and cutting-edge designs.  We have delivered numerous innovative solutions from 4.5 kW to 200 MW that reduce costs and pollution for our clients. These span a vast array of industrial and commercial clients that are on grid, off grid, and edge of grid.

Our Clients.

Our clients recognize the increasing importance of environmental sustainability and stakeholder values that are driving the shift to cleaner and more cost-effective energy solutions. They also require energy security and reliability for off-grid and edge-of-grid power delivery.  The high cost of diesel power generation coupled with the energy transition is rapidly changing the landscape of power delivery systems.  Iris Engineering provides the pathway by which these objectives can be achieved while delivering cost savings to increase the sustainability and profitability of a business or community.
